PDP vows to stop Tinubu’s son from becoming Lagos governor

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Southwest Ex-officio, Adedipe Dauda Ewenla, says Lagosians will not allow President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to impose his son as the next Governor of Lagos State.

Ewenla stated this in a press statement issued on Sunday, vowing that Lagosians would resist Tinubu’s alleged attempts to dominate and control the state for personal gain.

The PDP Southwest Ex-officio cited Tinubu’s past actions, including appointing his late mother as Head of Market Women (Iyaloja) and later installing his daughter in the same position without regard for democratic processes.

He explained that this move was met with opposition from market women in other states.

“We, Nigerians, are prepared. We are determined. We will rise in unity and come out massively to exercise our rights at the ballot box. Tinubu’s style of governance centered on personal gain and dynastic control will come to an end. APC must not return. Tinubu must go.

“The time for reclaiming our democracy and our dignity is now. Lagos belongs to the people not to one man and his family,” he said.

He therefore called on Nigerians to rise in unity and exercise their rights at the ballot box to reclaim their democracy and dignity.

He also urged voters to reject Tinubu’s All Progressives Congress ( APC) party and ensure a change in governance.
