President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has rewarded Super Falcons with huge gifts for winning the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Prompt News reports.
The players, and their officials arrived in Abuja on Monday afternoon after defeating the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco 3-2 in the final of the competition on Saturday night.
They were hosted by Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Aso Rock on their return to the country.
Each of the 24 players will receive a Naira equivalent of $100,000, while the 11 team officials will get $50,000.
All the team members will also receive a three-bedroom apartment at the Renewed Hope Estate as well as national honour of Order of the Niger (OON).
The Governors Forum also donated 10 Million Naira to each team member.
