The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has cleared one of the top gubernatorial aspirants Mr. David Usman Dinshiya to contest for the party’s forthcoming governorship primary election in Taraba state.

Dinshiya was screened by the former vice President Mohammed Namandi Sambo led screening committee at Transcorp Hotels Abuja on Tuesday.

Shortly after the screening, Namadi Sambo who was represented by the former governor of Niger state, Dr Babangida Aliyu at the screening exercise said PDP has reposition itself strong enough to go all out and win elections across Nigeria.

Aliyu emphasize that since the return of democracy in 1999, no any other political party has won the governorship election in Taraba state apart from the PDP, Aliyu urge Dinshiya to consolidate on the existing structures of the PDP in Taraba state to return the stolen mandate of the party which was taken to APC by the state Governor Agbu Kefas last year.

He said “Taraba has been a PDP state, we have rooted deep down the grassroots of Taraba, all the 168 political wards of Taraba state have benefited fully from PDP, beginning from councilors, LGC. chairmen and even the seat of the state.

“PDP is not a new political party in the state, I urge all of you that have been cleared by our party to take the advantage of the existing structures and reclaim our stolen mandate back in the coming general elections. Babangida Aliyu stated.

David Usman Dinshiya while speaking with journalists shortly after the screening said he has stepped into the Taraba state governorship race to rescue the state from the long time backwardness.

Dinshiya promise to use his youthful energy and experience to deliver Taraba state from lark of development been experienced under the four years of Governor Agbu Kefas.
