Tinubu’ll Win 2027 Elections On Performance Not Promises – Alausa

The Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Alausa, has declared that President Bola Tinubu was well-positioned to secure victory in the 2027 presidential election, insisting that the administration’s performance, rather than campaign promises, would be its strongest selling point before Nigerians.

Alausa said the President’s bold economic reforms have begun yielding measurable results, with improving macroeconomic indicators and positive assessments from both local and international institutions demonstrating that the country is on the path to sustainable economic recovery.

Speaking during an interview with newsmen, the Minister maintained that the Tinubu administration has fulfilled the promises it made to Nigerians by implementing difficult but necessary reforms that are gradually transforming the economy and laying the foundation for long-term national development.

He said: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will win the 2027 presidential election based on performance. The reforms being implemented today are producing measurable results and Nigerians are beginning to see the benefits.”

Alausa said the country’s economic progress was no longer based on political narratives but on verifiable evidence from globally respected institutions.

“Nigeria’s economic progress is no longer a matter of political rhetoric but one supported by credible data and independent assessments.

“Reports by the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, Bloomberg and Nigeria’s National Bureau of Statistics affirm that the country’s economic reforms are producing measurable results and strengthening confidence in the economy.”

The minister explained that the administration has continued to record improvements in key economic indicators, noting that inflation is gradually easing while economic activities are expanding.

“Key macroeconomic indicators continue to move in the right direction, with inflation gradually easing, economic activities expanding and other critical economic indices showing steady improvement.”

Speaking further, he stressed that the President was not focused on temporary economic gains but on building a resilient economy that will outlive the current administration.

“The President is focused on building a stronger Nigeria for generations to come. These reforms are not designed for short-term gains but to create lasting prosperity.

“”There is no value in making difficult decisions if they cannot stand the test of time. The administration’s commitment to fiscal discipline, structural reforms and long-term economic stability is already yielding positive outcomes across several sectors, positioning Nigeria on a stronger path towards inclusive growth, increased productivity and national development.”

Alausa expressed confidence that as more Nigerians experience the positive impact of the reforms, President Tinubu’s record in office would remain the strongest justification for seeking another mandate.

He reaffirmed that the Tinubu-led administration remains committed to implementing policies that strengthen the economy, improve citizens’ welfare and advance the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Expressing optimism about the future, Alausa said the economic reforms initiated by the administration would continue to deliver enduring benefits for Nigerians.

“The gains of the current reforms will continue to deliver lasting prosperity for all Nigerians,” he said.
