Soldiers in heavy gun battle with bandits in sokoto

Soldiers and local hunters engaged in heavy gun battles on Tuesday morning with renowned bandits’ kingpin, Bello Turji, in Gatawa town of Sabon Birni local government area of Sokoto state.
According to multiple sources in Gatawa, the gun battle began around 6 a.m. on Tuesday and lasted for most of the early hours of the day.

Daily Trust in a report quoted one of the sources, who pleaded for anonymity, as saying that the bandits attempted to attack the town but soldiers and local hunters prevented them from entry.“We are suspecting that Bello Turji is personally leading the fight.
