The Nigerian government has reacted to the designation of the country as a Country of Particular concern by the United States government.

In a statement signed by the spokesman of the Ministry of foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa said the country “remain committed in our resolve to tackle the violent extremism that is fueled by special interests who have helped to drive such decay and division countries the intersecting west African and Sahel region.
